Last day before SPRING BREAK!
We did a jeopardy review of balancing, writing equations and naming! Remember that we will have a test on this a few days back from the break :) And of course...we had S'MORES! :)

Today we finished and handed in our labs from yesterday.
Then we reviewed for the test that is TOMORROW. Students asked any questions they had and I reviewed a few concepts. I will have CLEAN periodic table data booklets for you tomorrow. Today we did an AWESOME lab on Types of Reactions! We got to see decomposition, synthesis, single replacement and double replacement!
We will finish up the lab in class tomorrow. As well as review for the test that is on THURSDAY. Details in previous posts. .1. Element of the day - Xe! 2. Today we worked on completing the balancing booklet from Friday's class 3. We also went over the details of what is on the test before Spring Break and what we are saving for after. 4. I also gave out the Review Booklet for Thursday's test - which I have posted below REMINDER Test is this THURSDAY MARCH 16th! See me if you will be absent.

If you are going to be away - tell me ASAP and we will plan for you to write it early. We will have a REVIEW day on Wednesday March 15th TOPICS ON TEST: -atomic structure and bonding -Lewis and Bohr models -early models of the atom (know difference between dudes) -periodic table trends -electron configuration and rules TOPICS that will be tested AFTER SPRING BREAK -naming -types of reactions -writing and balancing We will have 1 review block of these topics when we come back from the break, then a test the next day. Today we did Writing and Balancing Equations. I handed out the attached booklet. We will work through this all block today and Monday. We also discussed and decided what will be on our test on Thursday next week. See following test post.
