1. We completed and went over the periodic trends worksheet (pictures of key below)
2. We began lewis structure drawings! And we did a worksheet on this. It was homework. We will go over it tomorrow. **Interims were handed out today**

1. Element of the day: Polonium! 2. We started with a little Excel graphing activity, looking at the trends within the periodic table. 3. Then we went through a notes powerpoint explaining these trends. See attached. 4. I gave out a worksheet near the end of class - the first side of it is due tomorrow. We will go over it then.
1) Time to finish 3 worksheets from yesterday on atomic structure and time to check your answers. Answers below.
2) Inquiry learning of the Early Models of the Atom! Every group researched a scientist and their theory and then taught the rest of the class! Pictures of the whiteboards below! :) 1. Element of the Day! Silver
2. I gave time for students to ask questions about their marks on the labs and tests that I have finished going through. 3. We did notes on Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table (which included practice) 4. I handed out a little booklet on Atomic Structure for homework - only the FRONT PAGE is due tomorrow. 1) Element of the day! Lithium 2) Went over the answers to the worksheet we completed after the test yesterday. Click on picture below for solutions. 3) We did a PheT today! Build an Atom activity. This is where you can actually see the protons and neutrons being added and changing the atom's identity and properties! Worksheet for this is below.
1. We wrote our Matter, Mixtures and More test!
2. Then attempted a worksheet afterwards to see what we remember about atomic structure from past science classes. Topics include:
Precision&Accuracy Reading measurements Uncertainty Physical and Chemical properties&change Types of matter Separation of Mixtures 1) Went over the answers to the Separating Mixtures worksheet we did a few days ago.
2) I answered any questions about the lab report from yesterday, and gave time to complete this and hand it in today in class 3) I handed out the review package for our test on Monday (the answers are on the last page) click this link to get the review&answers: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Kb8g-NVj0ryHZ2zZqzsx7ZQ5FzZDKeP2jfeYcOpXSwk/edit?usp=sharing TEST ON MONDAY!
